Yes, they found cannabinoids in the autopsy. But it was not the cause of his death. That's like saying if I died of a heart attack tomorrow I died of eating chicken noodle soup, since it was found in my stomach. |

Fantastic machine (I still have mine from 1979), not so good of an article... littered with inaccuracies, and what's with the clicking to see all the caption test? Sheesh.
The dev blog says it well - "To put to rest the questions that kept popping up in the comments at the various sites: yes, the OOMouse is real. Yes, it has an absolute boatload of buttons… and they all have assignable double-clicks! Yes, we’re probably amok with insanity. No, we’re not on drugs, at least not of late. Yes, we think Apple’s buttonless approach is sexy, stupid, and limiting. Look at it this way. If you have a Magic Mouse and I have an OOMouse and we compete in any FPS, RTS, MMO, or OpenOffice.org Calc-off, you are going to be utterly obliterated. OBLITERATED. It won’t even be close. So, if you want sleek and superficial style, by all means, go ahead and buy a Magic Mouse. We don’t mind. But if you want raw power, flexibility, and speed, speed, speed, you will do much better with an OOMouse ." - http://openofficemouse.com/blog/To date the "high end" peripheral universe has been mostly restricted to Windows, with an occasional Mac version (sometimes requiring a third party set of drivers or configuration software). I'm glad to see a company is finally creating a high functionality open source mouse! If I was to buy the Razer Naga or Steelseries MMO mouse, it would be little more than a standard two-button and wheel mouse under Linux or other operating systems by default. Most hardware designers seem to link their extra buttons and functionality to proprietary methods and fail to provide specs or an SDK. With the OpenOfficeMouse, or future WarMouse products I will be able to configure and use those extra features on any OS! Sure, its not designed with the aesthetics of a high end dildo like Mac offerings, nor the black body adorned leds and aggressive "XTREEM" gaming styling like Razer and Logitech products, but reading through the blog its clear that a lot of time went into creating a mouse for advanced productivity use. I look forward to new WarMouse designs, such as their gaming focused mice which I surmise will have a different aesthetic, and hope they continue to provide an open source alternative in a sea of locked down, proprietary hardware.

“That wire that goes under the "suction cup" is charged with over 25,000v, with enough amps to fry you and a few hundred other people. That wire can stay charged for many years.

Seconded AVG being *****. I was dismayed when after a seemingly innocuous and typical update, it constantly did something in the background, halting my system every few minutes by spiking my CPU for no reason. After meticulously going through setting after setting, going in really deep into the program, I gave up and decided to try something else.I now use Avast, and it was quite a surprise to see a recent benchmark showing it was one of the best AVs available with one of the highest detection rates and one of the lowest false positives of most other AVs (especially including AVG). I don't miss AVG at all..
Effects were good for a fan film but the acting made Mark Hamill look like a pro.!

Who are you to sit in your computer chair advocating the killing of other people? You sound pretty evil, ignorant, and intolerant yourself.?
Thank you. MEMRI is scum. I heard lot of people who say they mistranslate for sensationalist propaganda. |

The Progressive Era (that lasted from the 1890s to the 1920s) created a bigger middle class. The Bush tax cuts, on the other hand, helped only the rich profit-driven 1%.Unlike the United States, Finland actually knows how to run their social programs without going bankrupt because they actually own corporations that knows how to make profits. If the US government tried to pull off something like that over here, conservatives would scream "SOCIALISM" as if it was bad word.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Finnish_gover ...Altia, government-owned, holds 40% of the market share in wine and 60% in hard liquor in Finland. And yes, Finland happens to be ranked #1 in quality of life and #2 most stable country in the world. Progressive ideas work.Conservative ideology can be seen practiced during Grover Cleveland's presidency and the Gilded Age.

There are plenty of pigs on both sides, it is impossible to tell one pig from another by their deeds or their causes, and pork is neither kosher nor halal.

In addition to that chrono, 40 hour work weeks are the product of working "sunup to sundown", farmer's hours. Since computers do a large amount of work that people used to have to do by hand, it's not feasible to ask people to come in and sit around all day pretending to work.If more jobs were set at salary pay, and companies provided a bit more flexibility in hours and scheduling, and use deadlines as a means to get projects completed--then you would see a much better workplace. If projects don't get done on time, then the company can hire employees that know how to work and not screw around.I have somewhat flexible time at work (but because I often times work many more hours than just 8 per day) ; but it gives me more productivity. It makes me happier, enjoy my job more. I'm not beholden to come in for 12 hours, then 10 hours, then spend 8 hours on a Friday at work. I can maybe spend 5 or 6 on Friday because I worked an extra 6 hours the few days before that. |
