How is this anything like cash for clunkers? This is not some sort a rebate program, it is a switch in broadcast regulation.
Is it talking about the bill that does absolutely nothing? Because last I checked, that is exactly what the republican bill does. It does nothing to keep the insurance companies from increasing prices, nothing to make them offer coverage to people with "preexisting conditions", and nothing to actually hold them accountable to what they tell people they cover, and con people to sign up for when it actually doesn't cover all of that stuff with the way they fancifully write up their contracts. These hicks really need to learn what they are talking about before opening up their mouths and misinforming their brethren.

“FTA: Apple fired back with its own marketing blitz, criticizing the difficult process of upgrading a Windows XP machine to Windows 7. Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president for Worldwide Product Marketing, said the debut of Microsoft's new operating system gave many people good reason to switch to a Mac. "Any user that reads all those steps is probably going to freak out," he said. "If you have to go through all that, why not just buy a Mac?"This argument really annoys me and it seems pretty misleading. Whether you're upgrading to 7 or buying a Mac with Snow Leopard, you have to back-up all of your data. However with OSX, you have to buy a new $1000+ computer; with 7 you keep the same computer you have. It's not unreasonable that you should have to back up your data upgrading from XP to 7, being as the whole system of file organization has completely changed.

They are called Kermodi bears... and I lived in their neighbourhood for 11 years (Kitimat) and never saw one. Our friends from Saskatchewan came out to visit and saw one on their way out of town. Totally unfair..
Let's hope not. :)!

Put a lid on the clerics hiding behind religion as power and half the issue would be solved. Who is really in charge in that nation? The church or the government as its front man. Reminds me of Rome..?
Been using the trial of Avast for a little while, seems to be a good program. I had Norton installed for a little while, but it turned my computer to sludge, I'm much happier with Avast. I'm still not so sure that antivirus companies don't develop viruses to help the demand for their products! |

"Too big to fail" is what you get with laws and policies that cause industry consolidation.

What I find interesting is that he protests are still going on almost six months after the elections. Iran is at a crossroads. The students (E.g. those under 30 years of age.) weren't around during the revolutionary times in Iran. And they chafe at the religious edicts pushed forward by the Supreme Leader. If you look at the cities in Iran they're as modern and westernized as any in Europe or the U.S. (Or parts of India these days). Western dress, satellite dishes galore, cell phones, computers, all things the government really can't control. |
