I always wondered why it always seems like the first course of action during a zombie outbreak is to print a bunch of newspapers and distribute them. "Oh my god, the living dead!...can we run with this story and get it to print by 3 am?"
I'm 19, and I have been trying for a very, very long time to get a job. I lost my job back in January when Circuit City announced it was going to shut down. I've applied at so many places, I couldn't even begin to tell you how many. I've had maybe three interviews, and I did nothing wrong with any of them, but they never called back, and whenever I tried to reach them they blew me off. I've even applied for fast food. But nothing. I can't get through to anyone. No one will hire me. Many places I tried to apply at wouldn't even take my application and stated that they haven't even so much as glanced at any applications for over six months. It's horrible out there. For those of you that have a job, you really don't know how lucky you are. And I'm not the only one. I have met many other people in the same predicament I'm in, many even worse off.It eventually gets to a point... a feeling of hopelessness, that there isn't any point in trying anymore.Just thought I'd give you an idea of what it's really like. I know there may be diggers far off worse than I am, but I figured I'd share my story anyway.

First off, Taipei's a bad ass city. One of the most underrated cities in Asia. :DSecondly, mad props on that honor for Taipei and its famed building, though winning the award would have been a cinched to garner, since it's already the 2nd largest building in the world. :PAnd last of all, doesn't Taipei 101 look like a bunch of Chinese take-out boxes stacked one on top of another? :O.
I think it's sound logic to not want to be murdered or to start riots in the Middle East or raise more animosity toward the West for a popcorn movie. Maybe if it was an art film, and even then, it still wouldn't really be worth it. You have to pick your battles. Would you really want people to die for a quick shot of a mosque being destroyed in a ***** Roland Emmerich movie?!
