I have a different perspective working for the government. I'd say the most important language you should know is C/C++. Every other language is easier once you mastered pointers/memory management. Having some knowledge about hardware and assembly language is extremely useful.Make sure the company isn't going to over work you. Many companies get undergrads and work them 60+ hours a week because they can. I would talk to someone who is at your level at the company to get an idea what their work/life ratio is.Be familiar with programming in Linux and Windows.Always be prepared to be learning something new. The field moves and you have to move with it or be left behind.

When they extended the deadline did they ever put more funding into the voucher program? I never heard that they did.If people were going to be forced to shell out 50 bucks just to keep their old ***** TV working I don't blame them for just going ahead and spending more for a brand new set instead. A smallish 720p TV can be gotten for just a couple hundred dollars now. Why spend 25% of that just to keep an old one running when it probably doesn't have many years left on it anyway??
The housing market was artificially pumped up by giving people who normally don't qualify for home loans those loans. It came as no surprise that these loans turned out to be worth less than the investment vehicles that packaged them traded at. The current crisis is a correction to the overinflated value of loans that never should have been allowed in the first place. Current attempts of the government to "help" the housing market try to print money to replace the money supply evaporation caused by this correction. The only way this can avoid being another bubble is if the underlying true value of the housing sector catches up with the printed money before the negative side effects of printing money become too severe. With unemployment breaching 10% and credit still being relatively tight with the government not really helping with its attempts to "help" us, the long term negative impact of the government's strategy look like to be with us for years at least.

I dig The Cookie Monster, but Bert and Ernie are like Abbott and Costello or Lewis and Martin--they're just a great team. And I love The Count because he's always conning someone into counting with him. He's hilarious--especially if one of his girlfriends is nearby. Yes, the muppets get a big digg from me--they are too cool.

 problem is it messes up the flash. So if you try to keep going to further videos it starts to have issues. I hate that damn break.com ad. there is no way to minimize it if you make the vid big, so it covers half the vid.
