| Many right points in here. Giving up their sovereignty is why lots of people are against the E.U. Not that it's any different than the US if you compare in size...yes the difference is that the US is one country but the E.U. can feel as one as well. I myself am against it. Personally I like Switzerland's approach, work with the E.U. but don't let them take over. Switzerland has always (I'm Swedish, not Swiss) been a country of example when it comes to democracy, its constitution was heavily influenced by the US one.The unfortunate thing when it comes to laws being passed in the EU is that they usually are the lowest common denominator. For example in this case Sweden had worse laws and so was content with this. Other examples for eg. environmental rules, Sweden has always had very high national laws whereas the laws in southern countries are low. Which laws are applied? Those low from the south, bringing countries like Sweden down, instead of bringing everyone up a notch. I'm disappointed in the EU and Sweden. |

Yes, they currently support "Flash Lite" which is akin to not supporting flash at all as you have about zero chance of a site you frequent actually using Flash Lite.

Bikes are not just about performance. I have a Honda cruiser bike, and I certainly didn't buy it for "performance". It barely goes over 80MPH (not that I ever push it that hard... I rarely get over 65. Sometimes its about economy; cheap on gas, cheap to purchase, cheap to insure, cheap to maintain, cheap to park in cities, etc. Sometimes its about the ride... cruising through the countryside on back roads, sailing through traffic jams by splitting lanes, etc.I doubt most Harley riders think about screaming down a curvy road dragging their knees at 160MPH.... people buy bikes for different reasons. This bike fills the niche for a particular rider, I'm sure. I would love a decent electric bike, if they could make one for around the same price as a regular gas bike, I would get one in a heartbeat..
Hey you know I used to be very liberal in my group of friends as a young student. My view was that as long as I was not harmed or restricted in my endeavors, it should be allowed - "it" being most of today's controversial issues from religion, speech, to medical options etc. Then one beautiful day in September in 2001 that changed for me. I was in the midst of cramming for an exam, and something physical happened to me that day. I later realized I became a grown woman that day and also grew into my role as a mom.All the freedoms I wanted my children to experience as people I learned needed to be balanced with restraint, I will leave my intro at that.Mid thirties, I now see parallels to Bernie Kerik and almost EVERYBODY I know (liberal AND conservative). I don't know anyone who has never: offered cash to a sitter, friend/contractor/neighbor, dog groomer, "guestimated" cash donations made in a year on Form 1040, or lost a receipt for tax documentation and later claimed the deduction knowing in "good faith" they really did pay it, or someone who's hinted to a auto shop that they'd like to "fluff" the damages to help cover the cost of a deductible. All violate federal tax laws in this country. These oversights to the law are all things I grew up with in blue collar Indiana. I saw it from my family, friends, etc. The philosophy I believe is that only rich and/or crooks really cheat or get into trouble. When the crooks get in trouble we all get justice, and when the rich get in trouble we get justice too? Okay, I have been in political situations with my job as a nurse and have seen MANY people get a reputation smeared for the sake of politics, and or advancement. Money or nobility is always the prize.What we all need to do is find our similarities and not our differences. Maybe Mr. Kerik turned into a crook, or maybe he was a great guy who had some close relationships which gave the image of impropriety. What I see is political motivation ruined a guys life; he contributed so much to Manhattan. What we need to change is we need to look from both sides. Is the guy who is willing to smear him for political gain or money any better? Aren't they the exact same? So I hear he is depressed, give him a chance to be honest and start over. He plead guilty and deserves that. What I hate is that his career is ruined, how will he find his way out of this rut? It ruins nurses everyday. And we wonder why there is a shortage. Everybody screws up in life, it's how you learn from it. It's not about Obama or Bush. Rise above the hate.!
