Get state's rights into the bill in order to open it up to a state option for single-payer3. To get meaningful change.But let's not get in the way of your imagination here. He has let anyone who wanted to know AND all his constituents know his positions throughout. He sent position letters out constantly with three out in the past 4 days explaining his entire plan.He is the most direct, open and honest representative in CONGRESS and one of the most liberal.If you followed Kucinich and paid attention, you would have expected nothing less than a stand against this bill.

The industry knows the only way they can make money is leeching/skimming off the artists. No wonder the industry is paranoid, they add minimal value and take the maximum, at the expense of artists. The present system needs to be blown up. If piracy achieves that end, then good for piracy. Do not feel bad about cheating a system that itself exists to cheat artists.Because the artist doesn't see any money until the record company's expenses for the album are recouped and the album becomes "profitable", it's common that artists never see any money from the sale of their albums. The recording industry's accounting system makes the movie industry's accounting look honest and respectable. (Think of all the movies that made hundreds of millions of dollars and then the studios refuse to payout a percentage of the profits because the movie was "unprofitable". The music industry is worse.) It's not unheard of for each sold album putting the artist further into the red due to unethical music accounting practices. In other words, the artist will never see a dime no matter how many album she sells.Many musicians are indifferent to music piracy because it's not like they saw any of the money from album sales anyways. Youtube, artists websites, direct marketing, touring - there will be a new model for artists to make money. We're still in the experimenting stage of what that will be. Read Fredric Dannen's "Hit Men" if you want to know more about the sickness that is the recording industry. It's entertaining reading and you'll understand how completely corrupt the business is.!

No, the whole concept of Public Option is the fact that the government is providing insurance, instead of the health care industry. It is pretty much creating a non-profit company ran by the government that will offer insurance to the people, creating a huge pool of people so it can make it cheaper for people since instead of being in a higher risk pool that is limited to their state, like it is currently, they have a huge pool that spreads the risk more evenly, as well as the cost.

We're talking $0.13 a gallon. Gas is currently $3 in my area. An extra $0.13 is NOTHING.Conservatives like to complain about "whiny liberals." But my god, the bitching and moaning over a minor tax increase like a $0.13 increase in a gallon of gas is unbelievable. All the conservative whining over this could shatter crystal.
