If Vitter had a problem with it, the time to bring it up was last year when he was asked "Are these forms OK? Cause if they're not it'll cost hundreds of millions to fix. So we're good, right?" Why didn't he ask then? Was he too distracted by prostitutes or has this illegals question (a matter of long settled case law - they're included in the census until the Constitution is amended or the Supreme Court overturns a lot of precedent) just suddenly appeared?Seriously, you're just fine with wasting half a billion dollars on a meaningless question - since citizenship has absolutely no legal impact on apportionment? I agree. He did set a 16 month time frame for withdrawel. However it does not look like it is going to happen. Once you take into consideration that many americans become blood thristy when any terrorism happens. We have a recipe for disaster brewing.

"Worth" is quite a subjective term here.Case in point: TinyGrab1) Does what system screenshot does-not hard to script the event2) Does what Skitch.app does, uploads it to a server-some value here, but you can do the same with the Flickr API3) Does what Skitch.com does, copies URL to clipboard-scriptable system event, no big deal4) Shortens URL-bit.ly has a killer API, even better, can script this tooSo, put together these "convenience" steps in TinyGrab and you have an app "worth" $14? Are you ***** kidding me?Oh, and the best part... unless you pay for the "premium" plan on their site, you can only do 10 uploads per day... 10 ***** UPLOADS PER DAY?!?! FFS, I go through that number of screens in an hour sometimes.

Agreed. No 2 or 3 strikes. You get one DUI and you are done driving permanently. There's no excuse for driving with alcohol in your system. NONE. You make that decision and you get caught, you're on public transit for the rest of your life. Get caught driving after that, you're going to jail for a year minimum. If it's a hardship, or prevents you from working, because you live out in the boonies or need a licence for your job, tough tittie. Better start thinking of moving and making a career change. It's a situation that you'd only have yourself to blame for. Personally, I'd like to see drunk drivers lives made a complete ***** misery. Drunk drivers fall into the same catagory as child molesters in my book. Scum that doesn't deserve to live.

The moment that we lose confidence in our democracy is the moment we lose it. What we need to do is continue to fight for our elected representatives actually fighting for our interests, not some big corporation. Campaign finance reform will be a big part of this, and guess who is going to oppose that? |
