It helped if you drilled a hole in the tape drive so you could get to the speed adjustment screw then you could tune the type by ear for better loading stability..

It's pretty much to be expected with any smartphone nowadays. My Pre will make it from 10 to about 5 in the afternoon without charging, under medium usage (a few phone calls, 50-75 texts, email check every 15 minutes). I think the iPhone 2G that I had before had a better battery life, but once I got an FM transmitter for the car that used the dock connector and charged it, I never worried about the battery again and used it very heavily (I drive a lot in my work). If only the Pre could charge and play music out of the same connector... Guess I'll have to try installing a touchstone in the car.?
The aggro-lobby (Cargill, Monsanto, Dupont, etc) you speak of is probably even more interested profit-wise in GM seeds than animal products, though they certainly have interests there, too. And giving up meat has nothing to do with giving up your cultural traditions, unless you mean to imply that I'm uncultured. I still eat big ass meals at Thanksgiving and I still grill out on the 4th of July and all the other "American" stuff. And I don't feel left out just because I don't eat burgers or steak.

I lived in South Dakota for most of my life until I left for college.It's a beautiful state, at least in the black hills and along the rivers. Most of eastern, northern and central south dakota is a flat stretch of boring nothing, though. The largest city is Sioux Falls, which is population ~140,000. Nice place to grow up and by no means a small town, but nothing too spectacular, either.Oh, and for all you out-of-staters who always get this wrong....the capital of South Dakota is pronounced like PIER....not PEE-AIR.And don't forget to stop in Wall Drug for some free ice water.
