Mention of the unnamed berserker at Stamford Bridge makes me think that King Harald Hardrada, who led the Viking army there, deserves at least a footnote. During the final parley before Stamford Bridge, Harold Godwinson (king of England) offered his brother Tostig of Mercia (joint leader of the invaders) a few counties to settle the matter peacefully.
