Damnit. Why does everything have to turn in to a party war? I'm so sick of people pointing the blame. Do you really want to know who's fault it is? It's your fault.Why? The government should fear you, these businesses should fear losing you as a consumer.If the people in Massachusetts were smart, they'd go down to Boston and protest for some sort of government imposed sanction against Evergreen Solar doing business in the state. Now I'm not certain that's even possible, or what the route would be - but I honestly would hope that something came out of it to send other companies a message "you're not going to get money if you are going to or have shipped jobs overseas." Honestly, I don't care what they do as long as the message is clear: QUIT YOUR STUPID ***** *****.But even more obvious, the government should keep taxpayer money out of private companies - PERIOD. Either let them fail or make a viable alternative..

I guess I should of said that the link that I was trying to download was this one at the lower right hand corner:"Full 1080p direct download link is available from Vimeo in the lower-right-hand corner of this page, if you are logged in to Vimeo."I thought that it might be a better quality video than the flash file in my /tmp directory (which I did save, and even thought it looks very nice there were still a few pixelated parts)But I still appreciate the help, some people don't know how to save flash movies, and giving people help is a cool thing to do in my opinion. With Linux, I can usually just grab the flash video from my /tmp file, and if it's not showing in there, then there are other ways to use a firefox add-on or to use a certain terminal command in Linux.I just read that part about it being in 1080p and thought to myself that it might look really nice on my multi-threaded mplayer.?
Did anyone actually look at the first one and think "Oh, what a nice vase." instead of seeing two fraggle monsters?

Think about it for just a second and you will realize that substance abuse has been around for centuries and this will NEVER ***EVER** go away, no matter how hard you clamp down. It's better to regulate than shut down. Trying to shut something down just moves it around and you will NEVER be able to keep pace with it. If you think harsher laws will work, just look at how marijuana is fast gaining acceptance after decades of repression and increasingly harsher laws. Use your brain for something other than preaching to people who don't give a ***** about what you have to say. There is absolutely nowhere on Earth that prohibition works. Deal with it.

The way that science is reported now is not quite the same as it used to be. Before, in the 60s-80s, a lot of these research findings weren't available unless you were a researcher in the field. For a scientific advancement to reach the common people, generally it had to be commercialized. With the internet, findings can be published long before any hope of commercialization. And yes, it is frustrating to hear about all the amazing leaps forward that scientists are making only to be told that a viable commercialized product employing those discoveries is a good 15-20 years away.
