| Good article. I believe that the school systems should all adopt non-discriminatory policies. Though I also have to say that the conservative dress code is a bit much. Teenagers are at an age where their hormones are raging harder than a level 20 Blood Elf Mage in Hillsbrad, and their need to express themselves is just as important to their development as an individual, as their education.If a boy wants to experiment with dress, that should not be an issue. If a girl (or boy, heh) wants to express themselves as an easy slut, that should not be an issue. It's really not hard to tell the easy girls from the reserved girls, even with dress codes in place. The people who will be staring at her ***** in math instead of doing their work are the people who will be texting her for pics of her ***** instead of doing their work, anyway. If people want to learn, they will learn. If they don't, locking them in a strict dress and behaviour code is not going to change that.If you want to keep the kids safe, allow it to become mainstream. Social change does not happen over night. When people feel like it's natural for some boys to wear skirts, then there will be no more issue. It's the suppression that keeps the danger in tact. |

See, that's the thing though. If I feel like ***** when I wake up, I take some nyquil, drink some fluids, and rest up. I could call my doctor and get an appointment for a visit in a month, or I could go to urgent care and pay out of pocket for a cold. They pretty much expected a doctor's note at Target if you were sick for one freaking day...c'mon now. How many people in this country run off to the doctor like the day they wake up feeling like garbage?I can understand treating someone with suspicion if it's chronic, but I busted my ass in that place. Hell, if anything I was given more crap for missing a day then the *****, because Lord knows they were useless and couldn't be trusted to backstock a half a cart an hour, let alone do it correctly..

Our country had toilet paper, and the soviets didn't! Capitalism trumped Socialism through our free market, as it always does. If only we would continue Reagan's "Peace Through Strength" attitude with current world foes. The current administration's "dithering" in making decisions concerning Afghanistan shows weakness, and lack of resolve in making important choices. Funny how just 10 months ago media types were jumping on board to proclaim that Obama was channeling Reagan! They sure aren't saying that now!.
I think the one on the right is meat gazing.!

It's nice to know Star Trek is not dead, but this pseudo trailer makes me *yawn*. Surprise, yet another ship battle based MMO. They didn't show hardly anything about on planet stuff. Might as well play EVE Online. It is much more mature and is less likely to have the many problems a new MMO from an unproven dev house will likely have. The returns aren't fully in for Champions Online. It is shaping up to be a pretty mediocre MMO, but probably better than City of Heroes.?
The Dragon Age wrapping is pretty ***** up. I'm normally annoyed by ads like this and largely ignore them. But the way this is ***** is implemented actually ***** up the layout. It's more than intrusive, it's disruptive to the Digg layout itself. |

Actually, we have traffic cameras now that write you a $100 ticket for 5 over, so scratch that off the list of duties. Get in a wreck or get your car broken into around here and the cops won't even show up. You call them, and they tell you to come down to a station a file a report. Actually, I'll clarify that. If you get in a wreck in front of a parking meter, a cop will show up within 10 seconds of your time expiring. They're pretty active when it comes to "investigating" parking violations.

I just have an appreciation for horror. But that's not to say I like every horror movie out there. Slashers bore me. I prefer a good ghosty type horror movie. An American Haunting would've been awesome if they didn't say at the end "she was raped" *sigh*. Why can't we just have a creepy ghost/demon movie like The Exorcist? I get more chills watching A Haunting on the Discovery Channel (even though some episodes are hilarous) than most current "horror" movies.
