Actually when you install Windows 7 or Vista, it gives you the option to keep all your files and store them in a folder named Windows.old on your C drive. Applications won't work but you keep the rest of the files you had. Although I always make a backup just in case.But seriously if you choose to buy a Mac instead of installing the new os just throw your money down the toilet. Seems pretty pointless to say "instead of installing this and clicking a few OK buttons, buy this, set it up, and transfer ALL of your files to this Mac".

It IS hypothetical at this point. All talk. No script. No studio backing. Nothing but talk right now.And by the time it comes out even if it is on schedule, it will be 5+ years removed from the sho going off hte air. If they are expecting any studio to put money into this, they are nuts. A show that barely had 3 million viewers when it was FREE is not going to make money.!
