I didn't say it was just like CE, but there are a few things that make it more like CE and make it more fun for those of us who played it a lot back in the day.Also, the things you listed are gameplay necessities... if it was a pure simulation it wouldn't be any fun at all, and the guns are different, they're balanced and have different characteristics which change up the gameplay. One melee to kill a brute with no shield? Maybe on easy or normal, real players go Heroic or higher. ;) Maybe the hammer is not that heavy, it IS an alien device called a Gravity Hammer, maybe it's super-light but makes a force explosion instead of just being a big-ass tackhammer. Seems like it, right?.
